Early Phone Call 18/01/2012
0 Comments

Driving my kids to school and my phone keeps ringing. It was crowded and I am on my nerves cause it was 7:10 am. We were a bit late today cause usually we go out at 6:55 before the rush hour (7:00am) from Salwa. The phone kept ringing several times and I don't pick up the phone that early from customers and it was a strange number. So I thought whoever wants anything can text me. I wanted to concentrate on the road.
Then after the fourth time, I thought maybe it is something important so I replied but I was kind of nervous and wanted to show that from my Hello. Then a lady asked me if I was Mariam's mom and I answered positively and she told me "Do you know that your daughter is having a competition today?" I told her yes and she told me that all the students are on the bus right now and that if I miss the bus I have to take her to JW Marriott Hotel. I was furious then because I knew that they were going around 9 am not at the beginning of the day. She said that they will be going now instead. I told her that I was just around the corner and to give me 5 minutes and she said ok if it is 5 min sharp. So I started running and getting more nervous from the crowd but what to do?
Five minutes passed but I was really near the school except for the traffic lights. I saw it turning green and off I went with all my speed and guess what? The bus was moving, yes they were leaving without my Mariouma. I went behind the bus and started beeping until they noticed us and she get off the car and ran to the bus, Thank God we didn't miss them. Hope she does well in her Art Competition after all :)

Are dreams real? 12/01/2012

Sometimes I see a dream and I simply forget all about it in the morning. Taken into consideration that I am a dream girl; I dream daily, unlike people who really don't dream at all like my husband as he says.
Anyway, later and by this word I mean really later on, not the second day or the next week or something, but after some good time I see what I saw in the dream exactly. I experience what happened in the dream and the same conversation happens. What is this? Is it a vision? Cause I also experienced some visions before and they were really helpful. I will tell you one of them that happened to me 16 years ago and I would never ever forget it.
I was in my first year of marriage and pregnant and we were waiting for our turn to get the land line (for our home phone). It took us months and no use. My husband tried several times with the ministry and last time he visited them, he told them that his wife "Me" was pregnant and that he is worried that I go into labour and can't reach him cause we don't have a phone. "Important Notice: there was no mobile phones at the time, or I can say it was a rare thing then".
Anyway, we waited and waited without any progress or hope.
One night I dreamt that the guy from the ministry came to our home at 8:30 am while we were at work and no body was there for him.
I woke up in the morning, talked with our 7ares (porter) and gave him my mum's number in order to contact her if anybody came and asked for us. I also called my mum and told her that she might expect a phone call for rescue and she didn't believe it and I just went to Cairo Marriott Hotel where I used to work.
At 9:00 am my mum called me saying that the porter called her and that there was someone who wanted to install the telephone line, but she couldn't make at the spot and told him to come later at 2:00 pm. I was astonished and so was my mum.
I went home later in the afternoon finding my phone working and it was the greatest dream of all, not to mention some other dreams that were not that possitive.

Easy or hard? 10/01/2012

Sometimes we have to take a decision about something important which will have a great impact on our lives.
Sensitive people don't really think and they just go with their heart "Feelings", its their nature, they can't do anything about it to change. I know this cause I am a sensitive one and I've lost alot using this way.
On the other hand, rational people might think over and over again until they reach the right decision, lucky them.
Now I have a problem and I know what I have to do exactly, but can't do it. I can't take this decision, it is so easy to think about it but soooo hard to go for it and actually do it. What to do?

Ten Days 04/01/2012

Yes my mum and sis were here on a visit for ten days. I love this time of the year and always look forward for them to come. It's like breaking all the year routine, doing lots of things that I can't do alone, like shopping for example. They go out ALL day long and don't think of coming back for lunch or to rest. They don't want to waste a second without doing what they originally came for.
My mum loves Brands, so I either find her at Salhiya or Al Raya and this year she also visited 360 Mall. As for my sister, she is into her own style. She is younger than me and slimmer so she can wear whatever she wants and it suits her.
Now we nearly have all these brands in Egypt, but unfortunately a bit expensive. So, they have to view whatever is available there first before coming here, in order not to buy the models available there; to be unique.
I sometimes drop them off to whatever mall they want and just leave them for the full day and other times I stay with them for a while. My back problem is what makes me not stay longer with them.
We meet and have a bite or go to any coffee shop in the afternoon and I took them out for breakfast last Saturday before they left. Lucky me, I bought a Versace Bag when I was with them the last day.
Oh I will miss them for the coming six months until we meet again in summer ISA.

Here comes another weekend 13/12/2011
0 Comments

A few years ago or to be more accurate only five years ago I used to be really happy and excited when Thursday comes as this is the sign for family gathering and going out together in the weekend. I was working at that time and the time I spent with my children was really for studying and doing their homeworks during week-days, really boring for both of  us. This is why when the weekend used to come we were all thrilled.

Now, my children are not kids anymore as they are teenagers now and they have their own lives. It is sad to say this, but they really enjoy spending their time with their friends now more than with us.

Tomorrow my daughter will go to one of her friends house and this is the case now for every Thursday; either at their place or at ours.

As for my son, he goes out on Fridays with his buddies to one of the malls and they spend all day there hanging out, watching a movie, have lunch and then go play football of course to fulfill their happiness.

But what about us, the parents? We either stay at home waiting for them so that we can catch up with what they’ve done all day and just enjoy a chit-chat with them and be happy just to see them happy. Or we go out to buy some grocery and whatever missing for our daily needs.

So, here comes another boring weekend for me.

End of Year 2011 03/12/2011

Now that we are in December, I would really wish this year a GOODBYE. It was quite a terrible year for alot of people and nations. I hope that next year would be a better one in all means. I will be positive this month cause it always passes so quickly with Christmas vacation and my mother and sister's visit to us here. I am looking forward to their visit cause I really need a good change after all I've been through this last November not to mention a few earlier bad months or bad luck I should say.

I am an Egyptian lady with two lovely children and a kind husband and we all live in Kuwait. I started a small business from home in May 2009, as I wanted to spend more time with my kids after quitting my long-hours' job. Now after two years, I have opened my own small shop to serve my customers.
